Hello family and friends of GEDCO,
We pray that you and your families are doing well during this time of uncertainty. As a supporter and friend of GEDCO, your generosity and friendship can help us maintain our critical programs and services. Additionally, we want to assure you GEDCO is meeting its mission during the COVID-19 crisis. We are addressing the emergency needs of our neighbors, residents, and participants in Baltimore. GEDCO aims to help as many people in need as possible while practicing social distancing and keeping staff—and those we serve—safe. GEDCO is maintaining essential services, such as providing affordable housing and supportive services for older adults, homeless individuals and families who are hungry. Maintaining mental health and the need for socialization is very important to GEDCO and part of our focus during this time. GEDCO is still committed to supporting older adults, including the continuation of Senior Network classes via phone. We are also providing support to the community by keeping our food pantry open and providing job assistance via phone.
We are seeking donations to continue helping those in need. To continue helping serve those in need, we ESPECIALLY need your help today. Our 2020 Spring Appeal goal is to raise at least $25,000. We have had to reschedule and delay major sources of operating support and fundraisers, which will drastically impact us during the next 60-90 days of this pandemic.
Please visit www.gedco.org to make your donation. Under the Coronavirus Tax Relief Bill, charitable contributions to help those who are suffering during this pandemic qualify for tax credits and deductions. Consult your tax adviser and visit www.irs.gov/coronavirus for more information. If you would prefer to mail in your contribution, please mail to:
