Building Caring & Compassionate Communities
For 30 years, the GEDCO community has been guided by – and thrives – on its Mission, Vision and Values. It is our duty to uphold this commitment to those we serve and as members of society. The death of George Floyd highlights the plague of racism and the resulting brutality that exists, and that affects those served by GEDCO. We must work toward solutions, not just with words and dialogue, but also with advocacy and action.
GEDCO is committed to a just society that respects the dignity and worth of all people. We value diversity, we uphold community, we encourage each person’s contributions, and we foster growth toward personal independence. Every person deserves respect and dignity, but systemic changes are necessary for this to be a reality. GEDCO will continue to fight for justice while amplifying the voices of our community that are seldom heard.
We celebrate the victory this conviction represents and will work with our neighbors, partners, and civic leaders to lift all voices and advance change so that all people living and working in our communities are safe and successful.
If you would like to become more involved with GEDCO and help us continue to fulfill our mission,
and compassionate communities for 30 years.
In our earlier years, we held gatherings for
community members to show their support at
The Senator movie theater, a Baltimore City icon
since 1939. More recently, we host events like the
Annual Golf Tournament and Thanksgiving Tribute.
