Stadium Place
Stadium Place is a national exemplary community that serves over 425 older adults (62+). GEDCO serves as the master developer and has invested approximately $50 million in this unique redevelopment project through support from various public and private partners and investors. These supporters include the State of Maryland, Baltimore City, Enterprise Homes, Presbyterian Senior Living, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Stadium Place sits on the site of Baltimore’s former Memorial Stadium.
The Village Center offers much-needed retail and office space in the area.
Established in 1999, Stadium Place is a mixed-income retirement community on the site of the former Memorial Stadium, with apartments for 450+ older adults.
Amenities and Features
Stadium Place features a full-service Y of Central Maryland; a “Community-Built Playground”; The Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Stadium Place, a residential, long-term care home and short-term rehabilitation center; and Thanks Giving Place, a small meditative park with a labyrinth that reflects the faith-based partnerships that sponsor Stadium Place.
Residents live in one of five high-rise apartment buildings that have private, independent, and spacious rooms.
Each of the apartment buildings at Stadium Place contains a special amenity, such as a mini-movie theater, a convenience store, a beauty salon, and/or a computer lab.
The Village Center and Zen Apartments
The Village Center is home to the Zen Apartments, which include 70 units of housing at the market rate for older adults and various amenities. In addition to housing at the Zen Apartments, the Village Center also includes a physical therapy practice, a manicured nail spa, a Dunkin’ Donuts on-site, an office space, and a common space for intergenerational activities.
