For the last 30 years, we’ve been fighting against poverty, homelessness, food and housing insecurity, unemployment, social isolation, mental illness, and disinvestment in our community.
As our nation faces an eviction crisis due to the expiration of the federal moratorium, we are seeing a significant increase in requests for financial assistance, while people struggle to find jobs with a livable wage. The digital divide continues to drive the need for assistance in job searches, completing job applications and employment forms. During a time when people are already struggling to make ends meet, the loss of jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic had a tremendous impact on people’s mental health, their ability to keep food on the table, and homelessness has increased.
