Dear Friends of GEDCO,
In partnership with community and member organizations, 500+ volunteers, donors and foundational support, GEDCO CARES responded to 4,297 requests for food were fulfilled, positively impacting 1,635 children and prevented 280 families from being evicted.
Our Homeless Services staff kept all residents safely housed, ensuring nobody returned to homelessness. Additionally, 13 residents of Harford and Micah house secured employment, and 2 transitioned into our Older Adult housing.
Our Older Adult Service Coordinators provided contacts and services to 90% of all older adults. Contacts included the COVID booster clinics provided by Northern and Dulaney Valley Pharmacies, food and health information distribution, wellness checks, benefits applications, personal assessments, monitoring services, and referrals to other community resources.
In February 2023, we merged our administrative office and CARES into the same building (401 Woodbourne Ave.) to create GEDCO’s own Community Hub in Govans.
